Membership ...

Membership of Enfield Saheli is open to all women over the age of 18 who agree with the organisation's aims and objectives. The membership fee is £4 for the waged and £2 for unwaged.

The members receive information about the work of the projects on a regular basis and this includes a quarterly newsletter. The members are encouraged to take an active part in the projects' work thus helping other users and staff and also promoting their own self-development. They take part in occasional social events and outings.

At the Annual General Meeting every year, the members elect a Management Committee (no more than 10) who are responsible for the development of the organisation, its finances, appointment and supervision of staff and reports back to the membership at the AGM with an Annual Progress Report. The committee is also responsible for getting funding from various sources and makes sure that the outputs agreed in the Grant agreements are achieved.

As trustees of a charity the management committee adheres to the commission's guidelines at all times and are ultimately accountable to the Charity Commission.

Outings

We organise trips to the seaside, safari/theme parks, museums, shopping centres and places of interest. These trips are heavily subsidized and sometimes are open to family members too.
